We all have sensory needs. Some of us chew on pencil caps or tap our feet under the table, which are socially acceptable ways to meet our sensory needs. Some doodle or put on music in the background to help concentrate on a task. Childhood is a great time to explore our sensory system and learn how to regulate our bodies. Some of my children are learning about their sensory needs and I want to give them various ways to explore them at home. We have a doorway swing and trapeze, different ways to spin, different textures to experience and plenty of weighted toys to play with. And recently, I discovered a really fun way to add another sensory experience for my kids: Senseez!
Vibration is a great way to work on sensory calming and reorganization. Eve loves her electric toothbrush and we also have other toys that she likes to put against her chin. We purchased a vibrating pillow but it took a lot of pressure to activate and so it wasn’t used much. Senseez pillow takes light pressure to activate no matter how you use it. We’ve tried hugging, sitting, laying on it and it works easily.
Senseez has become a part of our daily life. I have children who gravitate towards it when they come home from school and need some calming before homework. We put it on a rocking chair for a sensory experience of rocking and vibration, that is Joy’s favorite. The great thing is, there are no buttons to push so anyone in our family can activate it themselves. And who can resist the cute designs and shapes?
After letting Senseez know how much we love them, they wanted to send another pillow to one of my readers to try. You can enter the giveaway below. Which one is your favorite?
